We are looking to add an Editor to our staff at TPIN. The role of Editor would be to review the work of our writing staff, checking for spelling and grammar errors, suggesting things to add to an article, as well as suggesting sections to removed. Furthermore, the Editor will work closely with the Director and Non-Executive Director to move the organisation forward. The role is arguably one of the most important within the company. Resultingly, you will have a lot of responsibility to ensure that our output is of good quality.
As Editor, you will have the opportunity to write articles, just as our Opinion Writers do, but it will not be essential to your role. If you prefer, you can simply edit the works of others – the choice is entirely yours.
If you believe that you are an individual with a good eye for detail, who is confident in suggesting changes to people’s work, and can work well in a team, as well as in a position of authority, then this could be the role for you. We look forward to reading your applications.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
High School/Upper School Qualifications.
An outstanding grasp of the English language, including grammar, spelling and both the formal and informal characteristics of the language.
The ability to work within a team and to function under pressure, in a role of authority.
A willingness to learn about a variety of subjects to a basic level, in order to aid in your understanding of the work you are editing.
